In the past few years sex-tech has grown exponentially and we have seen many manifestations of sex toys meeting connected technologies of late but this idea is a little different. A french sex toy company B-Sensory have launched a sex toy that is aware of your erotic literature. Such an impressive concept that the Little Bird also won an award at the 2016 CES Innovation awards in Las Vegas.
The device is capable of connecting via bluetooth to an eReader and have the story influence the controls of the sex toy / vibrator allowing certain moments within the book to become more intense and pleasurable as a way of creating a new type of immersive experience off the back erotic novels rise in popularity since 50 Shades of Grey broke down massive commercial boundaries overnight.
“Throughout the text, play with words and your smartphone. A simple shake of your device, a caress, a blow on the screen to reveal the text will trigger the toy vibrations in accordance with the story,” the product’s founder says in the video below. Each session also lasts as long as 90 minutes.
“This product answers to three big trends in the market: the boom of smart devices, the explosion of erotic literature and the development of a more democratic erotic market,” the commercial director of B-Sensory, Franck Cabot, told Nice-Matin newspaper.
Hopefully in time different publishers and authors will do deals with B-Sensory and other sex toy companies that may also flirt with the idea of connecting their devices to erotic books being read on e-readers, smartphones and tablets to ensure this type of product has longevity and variety.
