The brand created the Orgasm Library of Real Sounds project in efforts to showcase the diverse and complex nature of a female’s sexuality. Conducting a study to determine the different desires, fantasies, and sexual behaviors of a large group, the team behind the project learned more about how people are conditioned to view sexual behavior.
During their study, individuals were played sounds of a female orgasming. The individual was to determine whether the orgasm was natural or not. The study engaged with a wide variety of men and women between the ages of 18-55 through surveys, interviews, and observational studies.
To debunk the taboo of a female orgasm. Bijoux Indiscrets has put together an orgasm library, full of anonymous recordings of orgasms. Each audio recording can be uploaded or recorded live. The recordings are named and described to let users know whether the orgasm was recorded during alone play, while with a partner, and how the climax was reached. Each orgasm record is displayed in a visual painting that develops as the orgasm builds.
Users are encouraged to upload their own recordings or record a live sample. The more users who log their records which allow for a culture of diversity to make itself known.
